Working to improve the quality of life in Rogers Park since 1952
Youth Intervention Program
The Youth Intervention Program (YIP) was established in 1988 to support youth development by creating educational, recreational and social growth opportunities for youth. YIP works with students, teachers, and parents to reach out to those at-risk of dropping out.
In January 2009, YIP launched a new partnership with Armstrong Elementary School to provide after-school programming to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. 'Passages' provides program participants with academic assistance while focusing on cultivating life skills through educational workshops and recreational activities.
