Who's In Charge?
Leadership of a non-profit organization is an important factor in its ability to manage as well as to respond to the needs of the community.  Rogers Park Community Council is lead by a group of 17 members who either live or work in our neighborhood. We thought it might be nice to introduce them to you.

I have lived in Rogers Park since 1974, with my wife Julie and our daughters Sara and Isabel. City of Chicago. We also own "A Taste of Peru", a family-managed restaurant. I enjoy all the cultures in Rogers Park and its diversity. And of course, there's nothing like taking the kids down to beach. Become a neighbor and get involved in CAPS. Check out the best kept secret in Rogers Park - A Taste of Peru (6545 N. Clark). I recommend the Papa Rellena, Aji de Gallina or a rice and seafood dish.
Jennifer Clark 2nd Vice President
I work for one of the largest employers in the community. I am the Director of Community Relations for Loyola University Chicago. The people of Rogers Park are among the most passionate people I have ever worked with. Even when folks disagree about issues, I have a great time because the strong beliefs and passion are both what drive me crazy and keep me coming back for more! As the official liaison between the University and our neighbors I have a lot of contacts. I love to be able to put different groups in touch with each other in order to achieve a common goal. (I can also help you out if you live next door to uproarious Loyola students whose antics keep you up at night.)
Richard P. Moran Secretary

Lived here all my life -- in fact my grandparents on both sides lived in the area. Richard P Moran, CPA, a public accounting and consulting firm. Virtually everything, but then it's the only place I've ever lived on a permanent basis.

26 years - all in Jargowood. Northwestern University - Investment Department - Manager of Donor Relations and Fixed Income/Cash Manager. Good neighbors, good housing, good transportation and the lakefront - good ethnic restaurants and local specialty shops. Meet your neighbors - join your local block club - start a block club - have pot luck dinners/picnics/cookie exchanges - come out on clean & green and deal with litter and trash - cat sit when your neighbors go on vacation and start a doggie play group - come to wine tastings at Jarvis Liquor and a cocktail at Charmers.

I moved here because of an employment opportunity. I own RE/MAX NorthCoast Realty, the Rogers Park RE/MAX and have been the owner/broker for the past 15 years. I actively list, sell and consult sellers, buyers and developers. I stay here because I love the diverse community, the gorgeous lakefront, the beautiful architecture and the opportunities that Rogers Park offers me for growth and the quality of life. The transportation is superb. If I want ethnic food of any type, I can get it within my community. We have some beautiful old buildings here with huge, spacious apartments. Every block has a diverse mixture of modern apartment buildings, single family home, 2-3 flats and large multi-family buildings - all on the same block!
